  5. automake 1.9.2
  6. autoconf 2.58
  7. To start out, run:
  8. tools/setup
  9. 1) Run the configure script to initialize variables and create a Makefile, etc.
  10. ./configure --prefix=BASEDIRECTORY --with-cgiurl=SOMEURL
  11. a) Replace BASEDIRECTORY with the path of the directory under which Nagios
  12. is installed (default is '/usr/local/nagios')
  13. b) Replace CGIURL with the path used to access the Nagios CGIs with
  14. a web browser (default is '/nagios/cgi-bin')
  15. 2) Compile the plugins with the following command:
  16. make all
  17. 3) Test the plugins:
  18. make test
  19. You will need to answer questions on servers that can be used for testing. If
  20. you need to edit any values, edit the file /var/tmp/NPTest.cache
  21. 4) Install the compiled plugins and plugin scripts with the following command:
  22. make install
  23. NOTE:
  24. The installation procedure will attempt to place the plugins in a
  25. 'libexec/' subdirectory in the base directory you specified with
  26. the --prefix argument to the configure script.
  27. 5) Verify that your host configuration file (hosts.cfg) for Nagios contains
  28. the correct paths to the new plugins.
  29. That's it. If you have any problems or questions, feel free send mail
  30. to nagios-users@lists.sourceforge.net or nagiosplug-help@lists.sourceforge.net
  31. Please send patches and bugs to nagiosplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net and
