  1. Nagios Plugin Requirements
  2. --------------------------
  3. Some plugins require that you have additional programs and/or
  4. libraries installed on your system before they can be used. Plugins
  5. that are dependent on other programs/libraries that are missing are
  6. usually not compiled. Requirements for various plugins are listed
  7. below...
  8. check_fping:
  9. - Requires the fping utility distributed with SATAN. Either
  10. download and install SATAN or grab the fping program from
  11. http://www.stanford.edu/~schemers/docs/fping/fping.html
  12. ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/libc6/SRPMS/fping-2.2b1-1.src.rpm
  13. ftp://ftp.redhat.com/pub/contrib/libc6/RPMS/fping-2.2b1-1.i386.rpm
  14. Note that the fping command must be setuid root to function.
  15. check_game:
  16. - Requires the qstat utility available from
  17. http://www.activesw.com/people/steve/qstat.html
  18. Last tested on qstat 2.3d BETA
  19. check_hpjd:
  20. - Requires the UCD-SNMP package available from
  21. http://ucd-snmp.ucdavis.edu
  22. The snmpget binary is all that is required.
  23. check_ldap:
  24. - Requires the LDAP libraries available from
  25. http://www.openldap.org
  26. Lib: libldap, liblber
  27. Redhat Source: openldap-1.2.9-6.i386.rpm, openldap-devel-1.2.9-6.i386.rpm
  28. check_mysql:
  29. - Requires the MySQL libraries available from
  30. http://www.mysql.org

  32. Redhat Powertools Source: mysql-3.20.32a-3.i386.rpm, mysql-devel-3.20.32a-3.i386.rpm (these seem to be broken, however)
  33. RPMS from www.mysql.org work better
  34. check_pqsql:
  35. - Requires the PostgreSQL libraries available from
  36. http://www.postgresql.org
  37. check_radius:
  38. - Requires the radiusclient library available from
  39. http://www.cityline.net/~lf/radius/
  40. RPM (rpmfind): radiusclient-0.3.1-1, radiusclient-devel-0.3.1-1
  41. check_snmp:
  42. - Requires the UCD-SNMP package available from
  43. http://ucd-snmp.ucdavis.edu
