  35. .SH NAME
  36. cpg_zcb_alloc \- Allocates a zero copy buffer
  37. .B #include <corosync/cpg.h>
  38. .sp
  39. .BI "int cpg_zcb_alloc(cpg_handle_t " handle ", size_t " size ", void **" buffer ");
  40. .SH DESCRIPTION
  41. The
  42. .B cpg_zcb_alloc
  43. function will allocate a zero copy buffer for use with the
  44. .B cpg_zcb_mcast_joined(3)
  45. funtion. This buffer should not be used in another thread while a
  46. cpg_zcb_mcast_joined operation is taking place on the buffer. The buffer is
  47. allocated via operating system mechanisms to avoid copying in the IPC layer.
  48. .PP
  49. The argument
  50. .I handle
  51. describes the handle on which the buffer will be allocated.
  52. .PP
  53. The argument
  54. .I size
  55. requests a buffer of size be allocated.
  56. .PP
  57. The
  58. .I buffer
  59. argument is set to the buffer address that is allocated by this operatoin.
  60. .SH RETURN VALUE
  61. This call returns the CPG_OK value if successful, otherwise an error is returned.
  62. .PP
  63. .SH ERRORS
  64. The errors are undocumented.
