  35. .SH NAME
  36. confdb_object_find \- Find a named object in the Configuration Database
  37. .SH SYNOPSIS
  38. .B #include <corosync/confdb.h>
  39. .sp
  40. .BI "confdb_error_t confdb_object_find_start(confdb_handle_t " handle ", unsigned int " parent_object_handle " ); "

  45. .SH DESCRIPTION
  46. The
  47. .B confdb_object_find
  48. function repeatedly returns objects that match a given name. You must call
  49. .B confdb_object_find_start
  50. first. This establishes a context for the parent object so that it knows where you are in the list. Then the next call to
  51. .B confdb_object_find
  52. will return the handle of the first object that matches the passed in name. Subsequent calls will return any remaining objects
  53. with the same name. The function returns CONFDB_ERR_ACCESS when the all of the matching objects have been seen.
  54. .BR
  55. You need to provide the same object name and length for each call to
  56. .B confdb_object_find,
  57. If you change either of then, the results are undefined.
  58. .BR
  59. The library holds a seperate context for each parent object, so you can call confdb_object_iter() on several parent objects at the same time and they will not interfere. Nor will they interfere with
  60. .B confdb_object_iter
  61. or
  62. .B confdb_key_iter
  63. calls on the same parent object.
  64. .BR
  65. .B When you have finished searching for objects, call the
  66. .B confdb_object_find_destroy
  67. library call to free up memory associated with the search context.
  68. .SH RETURN VALUE
  69. This call returns the CONFDB_OK value if successful, otherwise an error is returned.
  70. .PP
  71. .SH ERRORS
  72. The errors are undocumented.
