  1. README for pisg.cfg - the configuration file for pisg
  2. ------------------
  3. This file is used for:
  4. - Setting user options (for user aliases, pics, ignores and links)
  5. - Setting up channel(s) to be parsed.
  6. - Setting pisg config options (for general things with pisg)
  7. - Word options (for adding words that are meant to be 'foul(bad) language')
  8. USER OPTIONS
  9. ------------------
  10. User options are set with a simple SGML like syntax in the form:
  11. <user nick="NICK" option="VALUE">
  12. Remember, the nick is always required.
  13. For example to add aliases to a nick, then you could do this:
  14. <user nick="Joe" alias="Joe^*">
  15. This will add all Joe^'s to 'Joe' in the stats.
  16. Another thing you can do is to add a picture to a user:
  17. <user nick="Ben" pic="ben_holiday.jpg">
  18. You can also set a user's sex:
  19. <user nick="Ben" sex="m">
  20. Also you can add links to URLs and e-mails:
  21. <user nick="Christine" link="http://www.christine.com">
  22. or
  23. <user nick="Chris" link="chris@host.com">
  24. The last thing you can do is to ignore nicks (for example bots):
  25. <user nick="nameofbot" ignore="y">
  26. You don't have to do all this in many lines, you could just as easily do:
  27. <user nick="Joe" alias="Joe^away Joe^work" pic="joe.jpg" link="joe@joe.com" sex="m">
  28. (Here the aliases is a space seperated list of nicks, that also works! But *
  29. as a wildcard is smarter, but also slower).
  30. CHANNELS SETUP
  31. ------------------
  32. For each of your channels which you want to parse through, you make
  33. something like this:
  34. <channel="#channel" logfile="channel.log">
  35. format = "mIRC"
  36. maintainer = "NameOfMaintainer"
  37. </channel>
  38. Any options in the <channel *> section will be forced, even over commandline
  39. options... any options before </channel> can be overridden from command line
  40. There is a lot of options which you can set between the <channel> and
  41. </channel> tags, these are listed in the next section.
  42. PISG OPTIONS
  43. ------------------
  44. If you have multiple channels, then you can set some defaults for them, for
  45. example you can do.
  46. <set format="mIRC">
  47. And you won't have to worry about setting the format for every channel.
  48. You can also combine settings into one line such as:
  49. <set channel="#channel" logfile="/var/log/channel.log">
  50. All the different options are listed below.
  51. Other examples:
  52. <set lang='EN' langfile='lang.txt'>
  53. <set bgcolor="#dedeee" text="black" hbgcolor="#666699" hcolor="white" hicell="#BABADD" hicell2="#CCCCCC">
  54. <set activenicks="25" activenicks2="30" topichistory="3" nicktracking="0" timeoffset="+0">

  139. WORD OPTIONS
  140. ------------------
  141. pisg has the feature of making stats of people using "foul words" or bad
  142. language, like fuck, shit, etc. but this is something people would like to
  143. configure to their own language and slang.
  144. So this option configures which words which are considered to be "foul":
  145. <set foul="ass bitch fuck">
  146. Or in German:
  147. <set foul="scheisse scheiße kacke">
  148. pisg also recognizes that people may attack others in a variety of ways.
  149. The words that pisg considers to be attacks may be set with the "violent"
  150. option:
  151. <set violent="slaps beats kicks">
  152. Have fun configuring pisg! :)
